May is Mental Awareness Month
May is Mental Awareness Month, this month aims to fight stigma, provide support, educate the public, and advocate for policies that support people with mental illness and their families.
A Place for Hope Recovery and Wellness Center help connect members {18 years or older, a Clay County resident and formally diagnosed with mental illness, condition, or disorder by a licensed, qualified medical or mental professional} with each other through planned activities, community outings, meal gatherings, volunteering at the Food Shelf and peer-to-peer mentoring.
If you have the chance to make people happy just do it! Sometimes people are struggling silently. Maybe your act of kindness can make their day.
