What We Do

We provide families a safe and accepting place to complete the important cognitive, social and emotional work of bereavement.

Healing from the death of a family member requires social support, a means of experiencing and expressing all emotions associated with the loss in a way that is developmentally and age appropriate.

Children need to play, use their imaginations and express emotions through art. The emotional working through of the tasks of bereavement that most adults complete verbally is available to children through creative games, arts and crafts. Although adults often benefit and enjoy using these holistic and complete methods of experiencing and processing bereavement these methods (play, art and physical activity) are necessary for children.
